Steven P. Syring

Steven P. Syring, age 64, of Munster, IN, passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2022, at home.

Steven is survived by his mother, Helen Syring (nee Bobalik); and his best friends for over 30 years: Jonathon (Diane) Gleason.  He was preceded in passing by his father, Kurt Syring.

A Funeral Service will take place on Friday, September 9, 2022, at 12:00 PM with Pastor Donald Stock of St. Paul Lutheran Church officiating at LaHayne Funeral Home located at 6955 Southeastern Avenue, Hammond, IN.  Burial will immediately follow at Concordia Cemetery in Hammond.  Friends are invited to visit with the family on Friday, September 9, 2022, from 11:00 until the time of service at Noon.

Steven was born August 12, 1958, in Hammond Indiana to Kurt and Helen Syring.  He graduated from Purdue University and went into a business partnership with his best friend, Jonathon as a Financial Advisor.  Steven attended St. Paul Lutheran Church from a very young age and in his later years served as a Deacon as well as on the Board of Directors for Concordia Cemetery.  Steven enjoyed cooking and was sure to take a day off every Friday for farming his garden.  He loved traveling and was the perfect travel mate, as he was known for his photographic memory and built in GPS.  He was a devoted son and made sure to call his loving mother every day.  He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
