Robert Vasquez

Robert Vasquez, age 70, of Hammond, IN, formerly of East Chicago, IN, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2009. He is survived by 2 beloved sisters, Theresa (late Lupe) Velasquez of Las Vegas, NV and Alice (John) Gamez of Hammond, IN; 1 beloved sister-in-law, Beatrice (late Frank) Vasquez of Munster, IN; numerous adoring nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; close friends, Luis Martinez, Christina Martinez, Luis E. Martinez, Shannon Martinez, Antonio Martinez, Bella Martinez, Oliver Martinez, Gloria Orozco, Cristina M. Martinez, Alex Martinez, Kelly Martinez, Angel Martinez, Alex Martinez, Jr., and Eva Martinez.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at 10 AM Directly from Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 3510 Deodar St. East Chicago, IN with Father Larry Kew officiating. Cremation will follow the services. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Monday, March 23, 2009 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at LaHayne Funeral Home, 6955 Southeastern Ave., Hammond, IN. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the family would be appreciated.
Robert was a lifetime resident of this area and a member of St. Catherine of Siena Church of Hammond, IN.
