Manuel Palacios Obituary

Manuel Palacios, Sr, October 11 1933 ~ September 23 2020. On September 23, 2020. Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather had to say goodbye. God called him home. Manuel was born in Laredo, Texas to Simon and Guadalupe Palacios. He met the love of his life Josefina and they have celebrated 66 years of marriage. They have four children together Manuel (Jewel) Palacios, Jr, Javier (Kelly) Palacios, Josefina (Juan) Sanchez and Alfredo (Merida) Palacios. They have 7 grandchildren Jennifer, Marisa, Adrian (Alicia), Miguel, Sergio and Luis Palacios. They have one great-granddaughter Elaina. Preceded in death by his father Simon, mother Guadalupe, brothers Chema and Simon and one sister Guadalupe. He has one surviving sister Maria (Juan) Cuevas of Laredo, Texas. Manuel retired from Inland Steel where he took pride in being a Crane Operator. He loved to tell his work-related stories. Manuel was a family man and he would celebrate by having cookouts at the park, because family was the most important thing to him. He enjoyed Sunday dinners; he knew all the family would be home to see him. The tv remote belonged to him, he enjoyed Westerns and Wrestling.
