Judith "Judy" A. (Hylek) Ruzich

Judith A. “Judy” Ruzich, age 70, of Crown Point, formerly of Whiting, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2023.

Judy is survived by her daughter, Melissa (RJ) Ruzich-Tiller; and her granddaughters: Tressa, Tatum and Tori.  She was a dear sister-in-law to Luann Jennings (Brian) and Marla Hild (Kirk); loving aunt to Ashley Bock (Dave), Steve Kieltyka and Courtney Janiec; and best friend to Reggie Skopelja (Bill) and Angie Olivotto (Mario).

She was preceded in passing by her parents: Fred and Dorothy Hylek; her husband, David W.; and her son, Brian D.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 7, 2023, at 10:00 am at LaHayne Funeral Home located at 6955 Southeastern Avenue, Hammond with Father Jeffrey Burton officiating.  Entombment will follow at St. John/St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Hammond. 

Friends are invited to visit with the family at LaHayne Funeral Home on Sunday, August 6, 2023, from 1:00 until 7:00 PM.

Judy, along with her late husband, David were co-owners of Ruzich Funeral Homes in Whiting, South Chicago and in Hammond.  More than anything, Judy enjoyed spending time with her family and her granddaughters.  Judy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
