Obituary

Judith "Sugar" L. Batey, age 75, of Hammond, IN passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at home.

Judith is survived by her daughter, Regina Rizzolo; son, Jamie Fox; Grandson, Anthony Michael Rizzolo; stepson, James A. Batey, Jr.  Judith was preceded in passing by her husband, James Alton Batey, Sr and son, Michael L. Batey.

Judith was a member of ABATE of Indiana.  She graduated with an Associates Degree from Ivy Tech.  Judith spent the majority of her life as a Christian Scientist.  She was an animal advocate, especially for ABRA.  She enjoyed cooking and was well known for her Waldorf Salad and her Halusky was so good everyone came off of their diets for it!
