Johnella was born December 20, 1929 in Tennessee. She gave birth to 12 children, 3 of them preceding her in passing. She had a passion to take care of everyone. She treated everyone as though they were own children and never passed judgement to faults. A lot of people referred to her as "mom" because of the unconditional love she gave. Mom loved to travel and always kept her bags packed and was always ready to go! Her cooking was phenomenal and never had to use anything to measure as she did all by look and feel. Johnella had an energetic personality which made people naturally gravitate to her. Her contagious smile would light up any room, and never met a person she did not like. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren who lovingly called her "Grandma Dynamite".
