Deborah Redict, daughter of Fannie May Redict & Andrew Malone, was born on July 20, 1944. Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois she attended Betsy Ross Grammar School & Graduated from Parker High School. Following High School, she attended Wilson Jr. College. After college she preceded in her very successful working career.
In her late twenties she had her beautiful daughter, Kimberly Fredrick. They had a beautiful relationship and enjoyed life together. She loved her one and only child. Deborah had three grandchildren. Andrew Fredrick, who was always by his grandmother's side; David Fults, who she could always rely on; and Kayla Clark, who made sure she got a laugh in everyday and loved cooking with her grandma.
2001 she got into the terrible accident that changed her life forever. Before her accident she enjoyed stepping, pantomiming, and building lifelong friendships. Deborah showed her love by cooking for others in which EVERYONE enjoyed. You had to know her to love her, and once you knew her you couldn’t help but you love her. We’re sure everyone will remember her by her vocal and outspoken spirit.
Her survivors consist of her sister, Beverly Shepard; Daughter, Kimberly Fredrick; Grandchildren: Andrew Fredrick (Donyell Butler), David Fults, and Kayla Clark (Travonte Marley); Great Grandchildren: Miyala Fredrick and Andrea Fredrick; Best friends: Loretta and Roney Young and Crystal Jones (who also called her granny); several cousins, nieces, and nephews and the love of her life, Larry Edwards.
A Memorial Service will take place at 4:00 PM on Friday, November 3, 2023 at LaHayne Funeral Home located at 6955 Southeastern Avenue, Hammond, IN 46324. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Friday November 3, 2023 from 2:00 PM until the time of service at 4:00 PM.
