William R. Johnson, age 62, of Grovertown, IN formerly of Hammond, IN passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2010. He is survived by his wife, of 42 years, Kathie; 2 Children, Daniel (Dianna) Johnson of Hammond, IN and April (Chris) Zekis of Dyer, IN and one granddaughter, Adrianna Johnson. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2010 from 2-6 PM at LaHayne Funeral Home, 6955 Southeastern Ave., Hammond, IN. The American Legion will conduct services at 5:30 pm. Cremation to follow. William was a lifetime resident of this area an operator for Cargill, a Viet Nam Veteran and a member of American Legion Post #131 of Knox, IN.
