William "Billy" J. Eveland, age 73, US Naval Veteran, of Hammond, IN passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2016. Beloved brother of Robert (Karen) Eveland, JR, Beverly Ann (Ruth) Eveland, Guy (Sharon) Eveland, and Sherry (Greg) Lesnik. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Billy loved playing pool and poker. He was also a huge Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. Fine dining to Billy was going to Steak & Shake. He was always seen with a Pepsi and his favorite phrase was "I'll be a suck egg mule". He was also an uncle to many puppies. Billy was loved by many and will be missed by more. Visitation and a memorial service to celebrate Billy's life with his family and friends will take place on Friday, May 27, 2016 from 2 PM until time of service with at 5 PM with Pastor Jeff Beckett officiating at LaHayne Funeral Home , 6955 Southeastern Ave., Hammond, IN.
