Willard "Jock" J. Washington, age 84, US Naval Veteran of WWII, of Hammond, passed away Monday, August 01, 2011. Cherished husband for 27 years to Mae Sweeney nee Owens. Beloved brother of Laurence (Phyllis) Washington and Robert (Mary Lou) Washington. Fond uncle of Ronald Washington, Gary Washington, David Washington, Patricia Neidow, and Susan Reder. Also many great-nieces and nephews. Loving son of late Charles and late Mary Washington. Willard served in the navy in the pacific during WWII. He was a member for 65 years of American Legion Post 168 where he had many friends. Willard was retired from Scot Lad Foods. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 5, 2011 from 2 PM until 4 PM at the LaHayne Funeral Home, 6955 Southeastern Ave., Hammon. Military service at 4:00 pm. Interment Private.
