Obituary

Walter R. Kucharski, age 90, US Naval Veteran of World War II, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 26, 2015. Loving father of Walter E. Kucharski, Deborah (Gerald) Cash, Joseph (Pam) Kucharski, and Jennifer (Gregory) Hudspeth. Proud grandpa of Daniel Cash, Amanda Cash, Sydney Hudspeth, and Cameron Hudspeth. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Eunice A. Kucharski nee Radford, his daughter Rebecca Kucharski, his parents John and Catherine Kucharski, his sisters Helen Kneeland, Stella (Bill) Bray, Irene (Robert) Frost, and his brothers Joseph Kucharski and Chester Kucharski. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Walter enjoyed doing things with Eunice such as tennis, golf, and fishing as well as outdoor activities with his family. He was a proficient craftsman excelling in projects from the everyday to the extraordinary. Walter served with the Squadron 40, based on the USS Swanee. Friends are invited to Celebrate Walter's life on Thursday, October 29, 2015 from 4 PM until 8 PM at LaHAYNE FUNERAL HOME, 6955 Southeastern Ave., Hammond, IN. Service will be held on Friday, October 30, 2015 at 11 AM from LaHAYNE FUNERAL HOME to St. John Bosco Catholic Church, 7113 Columbia Ave., Hammond, IN for a 11:30 AM Mass with Rev, Stanley J.
