Virginia Vasquez, age 80, of Hammond, IN passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2022.

Virginia is survived by her sons: Raul Ruiz,Jr. and John Ruiz; three grandchildren; two great grandsons; her sister: Mary Holloway; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents: Alberto and Margaret Hernandez and ten brothers.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at 10:00 A.M. at LaHayne Funeral Home, Hammond, IN with Father Charles Mosley officiating. Cremation will follow the Services.

Friends are invited to visit with the family on Monday, December 12, 2022, from 4:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M at LaHayne Funeral Home located at 6955 Southeastern Avenue, Hammond, IN.

Virginia was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Hammond, and a former member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She retired as a nurse at St. Catherine Hospital after 38 years. She was also a former school nurse for Lincoln Elementary School in East Chicago.
