Thomas P. Hewitt, age 61, of Lynwood, IL passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2009. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Pat; 2 sons, Patrick, (Teri Harms) Hewitt and Ryan (Christine McGloin) Hewitt; 4 sisters, Sydney (Jerry) Mason, Leslie Hewitt, Dana (Samuel) Hutton and Terri (Jim) Bono; 2 brothers, William (Karen) Hewitt and Robert (Satomi) Hewitt; mother-in-law, Marjorie Smith; 2 sisters-in-law, Serena (late Jim) Hewitt and Dorothy (Lee) Kuipers; 3 brothers-in-law, Ray (Sue) Smith, Don Smith and Dan (Diane) Smith; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, William T. and Alyce Hewitt. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Sunday, July 5, 2009 from 2-6 PM at LaHayne Funeral Home, 6955 Southeastern Ave., Hammond, IN. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
