Terry "Kenny" Yeager, age 86, US Army Veteran of the Korean War, of Hammond, passed away peacefully Sunday, October 14, 2018. Loving husband for 63 years to Arlene M. Yeager nee Scherette. Beloved father of Thomas "Tom" Yeager and his companion Lillian Sajdyk. He was preceded in death by his parents, Van K. Yeager and Doris Yeager nee Cunningham. Terry was a regional resident his entire life. He graduated from East Chicago Roosevelt High Class of 1950. Terry achieved the rank of Sergeant during his stint in the Korean War from 1952 to 1954. He married the love of his life, Arlene in 1955. Terry retired from Western & Southern Life in 1987 after 25 years of service. He was an animal lover his entire life and never met a dog he wouldn't pet. Terry enjoyed boating, fishing, bowling, and sometimes golf. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 from 4 PM until 8 PM at LaHAYNE FUNERAL HOME 6955 Southeastern Ave., Hammond. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 10 AM at LaHAYNE FUNERAL HOME. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Portage, IN.
