Terry T. Cantrell, age 63, of Hammond, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2024.

He is survived by his daughters: Jodie (Dustin Rakos) Cantrell, Kelly (Neil) Dimos; grandchildren: Stella Dimos, Theo and Luke Rakos, and soon-to-arrive, Baby Dimos #2; and siblings: Rick Cantrell, Sandy Houser, Lori Bogonovich; and many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Mance and Betty Cantrell; sister, Sharon Schalkle; and brother, John Cantrell.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at LaHayne Funeral Home located at 6955 Southeastern Ave., Hammond, IN with Pastor Bill Jones officiating.  Friends may meet with the family on Friday, July 12, 2024, from 3:30 p.m. until time of service at LaHayne Funeral Home.

Terry enjoyed spending his time outdoors: fishing, hunting, boating, and riding his motorcycle. He enjoyed live music, local summer festivals, and attending any and all social events. Terry was a great basketball player and a huge sports fan. He loved watching the Indiana Hoosiers, Chicago Bulls, his beloved Cubbies, and the Chicago Bears. He never missed a Bears home opener tailgate. But his favorite sports to watch were always his daughters' softball and basketball games. Terry was a devoted family man, who enjoyed spending time with his daughters, his grandchildren, and his brother. Terry retired from Gerresheimer Glass after 43 years of service.

Terry will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.
