Stanley "Stan" B. Ratliff, age 63, of Hammond, IN passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2016. Loving husband for 32 years to Sandra "Sandy" K. Ratliff nee Dimickele. Beloved father of Michelle (fiancé Chris Herrman) Ratliff, Brandon Ratliff, Shaina (Michael) Gibson, Orie (Sydonna) Evans, Taunya (Daniel) Pringle. Devoted brother of Judith (Greg) Mazur, Thomas Ratliff, Carl Ratliff, and Tolbert (Carmella) Ratliff. Proud grandfather of Ella-Mae, Lillian, Jessica, Santanna, Derrick, Drew, and Alexis. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Hiram S. Ratliff and Elmo Ratliff nee Spears. Stan was the neighborhood handyman and a jack of all trades. He worked for Coke for 19 years and ended his 20 years truck driving career with Ruan/Praxair in East Chicago, Indiana. Stan was a loving husband, father, and provider. Family always came first. Stan was loved by many and will be missed by more. Visitation and a service to celebrate Stan's life with his family and loved ones will take place on Sunday, February 21, 2016 from 3 PM until time of service at 8 PM with Pastor Bill Taylor officiating at LaHayne Funeral Home, 6955 Southeastern Ave., Hammond, IN.
