IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sinkae
Torres
March 26, 1999 – December 10, 2023
Sinkae Azaree Torres-Montgomery was born on March 26, 1999, to Esmeralda Torres and Bobby Montgomery in Chicago, Illinois where he was raised alongside his brother and sister. Esmeralda and her children started their new journey from Chicago to Hammond, Indiana when Esmeralda made the decision to follow and stay close to her parents. Sinkae's education began in Chicago until the 1st grade then he later attended Jefferson Elementary, Scott Middle School, and Morton High School in Hammond.
Beloved son, brother, nephew, cousin, uncle, and friend, Sinkae impacted everyone he got close to, his personality simply lit up the room! His presence brought life to any party, and he could make you happy, sad, laugh and literally cry all at the same time. He enjoyed singing out loud and dancing, which is how he wiggled his way into your heart. He was a person who enjoyed crafting, gaming, and watching anime. Sinkae loved his name but was also known by several aliases, like Boo-boo/Rico/Goober. Movie-thons were his thing which included movies like Hunger Games, Rent, and Wicked. One thing he definitely loved was torturing his mother by blasting Nicki Minaj knowing full well she was not a fan since she preferred Cardi B and those debates got real!! Our family was not prepared for this loss. Let us appreciate the time we had with him and the love he brought into our lives. He was a bright, talented, and caring young man with a loving family and a promising future. Unfortunately, he was unable to overcome his struggles with his alcohol addiction and his body ultimately succumbed to its effects. Let us find solace in the knowledge that he is now at peace and free from the weight of his internal battles. We will miss him deeply and remember him with love, admiration, and that beautiful smile. His death has left us with overwhelming sadness and grief and has been a tragic reminder that no one is immune to the potential hazards of substance abuse. Please seek help if you or anyone you know is suffering with addiction.
"Though no one can go back and make a brand-new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand-new ending."
