Shirley J. Kawecki nee Widerberg, age 78, of Hammond, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2011 Beloved wife for 58 years of Edward S. Kawecki Loving mother of Edward Scott Kawecki Robin (Liz Menges) Kawecki and late Sandra Gail (Ronald) Westerfield Cherished sister Willard (Dorothy) Kawecki and late Lloyd (Patricia) Kawecki Proud Grandmother of Brian Scott Kawecki Fond Aunt of many nieces and nephews Shirley was a longtime member of Christ Lutheran Church and former member of Lebanon Lutheran Church. She was also a member of the Altar Guild. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends. Lying in State on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 from 10 AM until time of service at 11 AM at Christ Lutheran Church, 7051 Indianapolis Blvd., Hammond, In with the Rev. James Swanson, Pastor Emeritus officiating. Interment Elmwood Cemetery. Friends are invited to meet with the family at LaHayne Funeral Home on July 5, 2011 from 4 PM until 9 PM.
