Shirley A. Hayes nee Harland, age 67, of Gary and formerly of Hammond, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, March 14, 2018. Loving Mother of Michelle Jimenez, Tabitha Beck, Suebrina (fiancé Teofilo DeLeon, Jr.) Beck, Billyjean (fiancé Leo Barba) Hayes, and Sarajean Hayes. Proud Grandmother of Michael Gutierrez, Joshua Joseph, Christina Joseph, Desmond Rainey, Wallace Smith, IV, and Brian Smith. Dearest Great-Grandmother of Dax Rainey. Preceded in death by her Husband Roger D. Hayes, her Daughter Chistina Beck, her Parents Oral and Evelyn Harland, and her Grandson Adrian Jimenez. Shirley Ann was an animal lover and was a two-time cancer survivor. She looks forward to rejoining her husband who was the love of her life. In her free time, she enjoyed playing bingo and slots.
