Sherri Lynn McGuff (nee Kress), age 71, of Jasper, Georgia, went to be with the Lord on November 20, 2021. She was born on March 5, 1950, to Benedict Kress and Elsie Kress (nee Tutacko) Wiewiora in Highland, Indiana. Sherri was a former resident of Ellijay, Georgia and Greenwood, Indiana. She was employed for many years with Indiana Bell / Ameritech in Indiana, then transferred and retired from Bell South / AT&T in Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, Paul Wiewiora; her brother, Robert Kress; and a grandson, Christopher McGuff. Surviving are her two sons: Jeffrey McGuff and Todd McGuff; four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Sherri was a graduate of Ivy Tech Community College in Indianapolis.  She loved horses and the mountains. She enjoyed traveling, swimming, hiking, boating, working outdoors, and spending time with her friends and neighbors. She will be greatly missed by so many. A private service was held at St. John / St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Hammond, Indiana.
