Sharon D. Howell, age 71, of Hammond, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2024.

She is survived by her children: Christopher Lucas (James Mason), Jason Gandy, Corey Howell, Mileah Howell; grandchildren: Dale Gandy, Corey Howell Jr., Chloe Pettis; and brother, Kevin Brown.

Cremation was chosen and all services will be private.

Our mother left this mortal coil knowing she was moving on to a new adventure. She never wanted to leave her family, but the universe called.  She achieved many life goals, but earning her Associate's Degree was a true milestone. Sharon took that degree and got to work serving her community; after numerous years of dedicated service, Sharon retired as an Outreach Worker with Health Vision.

Sharon loved her family. She enjoyed spending her time being with them, shopping, cooking meals, going to brunch, dinner…you name it! Thanksgiving was her favorite holiday since it revolved around family time.  Sharon loved all things to do with fashion; enjoying her expensive perfumes, and always had an eye for decorating. Her favorite pastime was being with her kids', and we loved being with her. Our mother was funny, funky, eclectic and a true mother hen.

She will be missed beyond measure by the people who meant the most to her.
