Ruth Walters, age 76, of Hammond and formerly of Lexington, Alabam, passed away Friday, December 28, 2012. Beloved Wife for 58 years to Marshall E. Walters. Loving Mother of Marsha (Paul) Fitzpatrick and Debra Walters. Cherished Sister of Levonne (late Gene) Dzik, late Reeder (Dorothy) Pettus, late Brian (late Dorothy) Pettus, late Edron Jennings, and late Edith (late Herbert) Barnett. Proud Grandmother of Tina and Thomas Fitzpatrick and John A. Smriga, III. Dearest Great-Grandmother of Veronica Klug. Fond Aunt of many Nieces and Nephews. Ruth loved going to Country and Blue Grass Music Festivals where she would square dance and clog to the fiddle music with her husband Marshall. Through Ruths friends at the Living Grace Church of the Nazarene, she got a job with Taylor Chain in Hammond where she worked for many years. She was loved by all and will be missed by more.
