Ronald "Ron" L. Armentrout, age 70, US Naval Veteran of the Vietnam War, of Hammond, passed away suddenly Saturday, October 08, 2016. Loving husband for 36 years to Desiree B. Armentrout nee Thomas. Beloved father of Ron Yoder, Bryon Yoder, and Nathan Yoder. Devoted brother of Larry (Gail "Gay") Armentrout, Linda (late Jim) Warrington, and Jerry Armentrout. Proud grandfather of McKenzie Yoder. Fond uncle of many. After leaving the Navy, Ron continued his love for cooking, allowing Desiree to enjoy his many dishes. He retired from the Post Service after many years. Ron enjoyed gospel and classical music. He knew his Bible and shared his faith with everyone. Ron will also be missed by his precious dog Snazzy whom he had since she was 3 months old. He belonged to the American Legion in Ohio and in Hammond. Ron was loved by many and will be missed by more. Friends are invited to celebrate Ron's life on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 from 4 PM until time of Service at 7:30 PM with Reverend C. James Facklam officiating at LaHAYNE FUNERAL HOME , 6955 Southeastern Ave., Hammond, IN. Interment will be private.
