Romana M. Muratori (nee Mauch) of Hammond, Indiana passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Hartsfield Village in Munster, Indiana,

Romana is survived by her sons: James (Karen) Muratori, Thomas (Jodi) Muratori and Tony Muratori; grandchildren: Andrew (Merissa) Muratori, Kaitlyn (fiancé, Scott Bishop) Muratori, Michael Muratori, Desiree Muratori, Hannah Muratori; great grandchild, Amaya; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was preceded in passing by her parents: William and Bertha Mauch; husband, James Muratori; son, John Muratori; siblings: Joseph (Jean) Mauch, Walter (Midge) Mauch, Richard (Eleanor) Mauch, Robert (Patricia) Mauch.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 15, 2023, DIRECTLY at St. John Bosco Catholic Church located at 7113 Columbia Avenue, Hammond, IN, at 10:00 AM for final visitation until the time of Funeral Service at 10:30 AM with Father Jeffrey Burton Celebrating. Burial will follow at St John-St Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Hammond.  Friends are invited to visit with the family on Thursday, December 14, 2023, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at LaHayne Funeral Home located at 6955 Southeastern Avenue, Hammond, IN.

Romana was born on April 30, 1930, in Hammond, Indiana.  She was a lifetime resident and graduated from Hammond High School in 1948. Romana was a Member of St. John Bosco Church in Hammond.  She was an active member within the church and school; and dedicated her service to the Altar and Rosary Society. She was an employee of Inland Steel and a former sales associate at Montgomery Wards.  She loved spending time with her family and friends. She was an excellent baker and enjoyed knitting and crocheting.

At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers, Memorials may be given to St Vincent DePaul or St. John Bosco Catholic Church.
