Robert E. Sneed, age 80, US Naval Veteran, of Hammond, passed away suddenly at home on Monday, September 4, 2017. Beloved husband for 51 years to Ruth Ann Sneed nee Miller. Loving father of James (Peg) Crocker, Carl Crocker, Colleen (Tom) Ksiazek, Robert T. (Michael Morando) Sneed, Joe (Kim) Sneed, Dawn McCarthy, and Richie (Nancy) Sneed. Devoted brother of 2 sisters. Proud grandfather of 13 and dearest great-grandfather of 9. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents Robert T. and Rosalee Sneed. Robert began his career with the railroad with New York to Penn Center and finally retiring with Con-rail. He was a huge Chicago Cub's fan and was grateful to finally see the Cub's win the Pennant. Robert was very proud of his family and especially his grandchildren and great-grandbabys. He was loved by many and will be missed by more.
