Robert J. Schultz, age 86 of Eau Claire passed away early Monday morning May 23, 2011 at the Oakwood Villa in Altoona, WI. Robert was born July 16, 1924 in Hammond, Indiana to the late William and Anna (Pomplin) Schultz. In 1986, he moved to Eau Claire. Robert served his country in the U. S. Army as an Infantryman. He enjoyed fishing and traveling and eating out. He especially enjoyed traveling to the National Parks located in the United States and Canada. Robert was a member of Peace Lutheran Church. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Doris of Eau Claire. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers, Al and William. Funeral Services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at Peace Lutheran Church, 501 E. Fillmore Street, Eau Claire with Pastor Mark Schulz officiating. Friends may visit at the church on Thursday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of services. Fuller Speckien Hulke Funeral Home, 3209 Rudolph Road, Eau Claire, WI assisted the family with the arrangements in Wisconsin. Burial will be at a later date at Concordia Lutheran Cemetery in Hammond, Indiana by LaHayne Funeral Home, 6955 Southeastern Ave, Hammond, IN.
