Robert Kasper, age 84, of Hammond, IN passed away Sunday, November 8, 2009. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Beatrice "Bea"; 3 children, Patricia (John) Brock, Bryan Kasper, and Paulette (David) Kasper-Davis; 6 grandchildren, Virginia (Emil) Mastandrea, Kimberly (Willie Martinez) Bond, Joyce (Matt Milligan) Bane, Larry Bond, Michelle Reynolds, and Robert (Kathleen) Davis; 8 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Ruth Neely. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Cynthia Davis, and a sister, Eleanor Kasper. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 12, 2009 at 10:30 AM from LaHayne Funeral Home, 6955 Southeastern Ave., Hammond, IN with Elder Lewis Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Hammond, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Robert was a lifetime resident of this area, a retired pipefitter, an Army Veteran of WW 2, and a member of American Legion Hammond Victory Post #168 who will conduct memorial services Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
