Robert "Bob" H. Craig, age 89, US Army Veteran of the Korean War, of Calumet City, Illinois, passed away Friday, October 26, 2018. Loving father of Lyle R. Craig and Amy B. Craig. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his beloved wife Betty I. Craig nee Buck, his parents Clarence and Grace Craig, and his brothers Walter "Wally" Craig and James "Jim" Craig.

Robert was a graduate of Bloom HS. After the war, he was a member and Past Commander of the American Legion Calumet City Post. He coached Youth Basketball at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church and was a referee for grade school and high school levels. Robert worked at Pullman Standard and then retired after 20 years with CAN Insurance. He enjoyed playing a little golf with friends. Robert was love by many and will be missed by more. Friend are invited to celebrate Robert's life with his family on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 from 10:00 AM until time of Service at 12:00 Noon with Rev. Mary van Wijk, Pastor officiating at LaHayne Funeral Home, 6955 Southeastern Avenue, Hammond, Indiana. The American Legion Calumet Post 330 will Post Everlasting at 11:00 AM.
