Robert C. Grose, age 72, of Hammond, IN, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025.

Robert is survived by his wife of 52 years, Janice (Call) Grose; children: Christina (Jesse) Hernandez, Jennifer (John) Holland, Robert Grose Jr.; grandchildren: Lindsey (Logan) Rosing, Kathryn (Bradley Meisberger) Hernandez, Aidan Hernandez, Anna Holland and Rylee Grose; great grandchildren: Lincoln Rosing, Brooklyn and Emilia Meisberger; sister, Ann Romero; sister-in-law, Janet (Robert) Cogan; brothers-in-law: Ken Salmon and Fred Salmon; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in passing by his parents: Floyd and Katherine (Steinhauer) Grose; and grandson, Robert III.

A Memorial Service will take place on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at 4:00PM at LaHayne Funeral Home located at 6955 Southeastern Avenue, Hammond, IN, with Pastor Brandon Rukes officiating.  Friends are invited to visit with the family from 12:00 PM until time of service at 4:00 PM.

Robert retired from LTV Steel as a Crane Operator after 47 years of dedication.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting and bowling. Robert was proud of his earned title of Papa and loved attending their sporting events. He was a life-long avid Chicago Bears fan. Robert was a great guy that was loved by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed. In memory of Robert, please wear your favorite Bears gear to celebrate his life.
