Robert J. Dufresne, age 90, US Naval Veteran of WWII, of Hammond, passed away Thursday, October 13, 2016. Beloved husband for 62 years of Marian L. Dufresne nee Bolin. Loving father of John Robert (Debbie) Dufresne, James A. (Barbara) Dufresne, and Paul Raymond Dufresne. Proud grandfather of Taylor Dufresne, Zane Dufresne, Jill (Todd) Potrykus, Rob (Beata) Dufresne, Kevin (Amanda) Watson, and Michael Watson. Dearest great-grandfather of Kayla and Hunter Potrykus, and Cortney, Blake, and Leila Watson. Robert loved to paint, draw, and work in his flower garden. He enjoyed traveling the country visiting family and friends. He enjoyed the company of Ester and all his feline friends. Robert was loved by many and will be missed by more. Visitation and a service to celebrate Robert's life with his family and friends will take place on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 from 10 AM until time of service at 12 Noon at LaHayne Funeral Home , 6955 Southeastern Ave., Hammond, IN.
