Rhonda Rae Rettig (nee Stephenson), 72, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2026, at St. Mary's Hospital in Hobart, IN.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years Bob Rettig of Obit, IN; her daughter Ashley (Don) Jarvey of Hammond, IN; two sisters Sandy Goldston of Knoxville, TN and Mary (James) Craft of Palmyra, VA, two brothers Ron (Donna) of Newark, DE and Allen (Audrey) Stephenson of Williamsburg, VA and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Bob and Dee Rodgers and Ray Allen Stephenson.

Rhonda was a resident of the area all her life, a former employee of Bob and Dee's Ceramics, Maria's Hallmark, and Hohman Hallmark. She loved spending time with her family, playing with grand-dogs, reading Danielle Steele novels, scrapbooking, flower arranging, and going to Chicago White Sox games.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 11am to 3pm at Lencioni's Pub & Banquets in Lynwood, IL.
