Raymond W. Suchanuk, age 88, of Munster, IN, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025.

Raymond is survived by his wife of 52 years, Leilani; children: Nikki (Chris) Companiott and Patrick Lanham; grandchildren: Lauren Lanham, Lindsey Lanham, Dominic Companiott, Aidan Companiott; sister-in-law, Candice (Russell) Sahm; cousin, Roberta Nicksich; special nieces and nephews: Patricia Avalon, Sharon (Mike) Stiglich, Beth Ann (Ronald) Weaver, Michelle Sudovich, Mike (Vickie)Winarski, Carmen Suchanuk and many other nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. He was preceded in passing by his parents: Richard and Stella Suchanuk; granddaughter, Molley Lanham; siblings: Sophie (John) Waite, Betty (Steve) Sudovich, Robert (Virginia) Suchanuk, Ronald (Rudene) Suchanuk and Richard Suchanuk.

Private Interment will take place at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.

Friends are invited to visit with the family on Monday, March 17, 2025, at LaHayne Funeral Home located at 6955 Southeastern Avenue, Hammond, IN 46324 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Raymond was a proud US Army Veteran who served his country during the Korean Conflict.  He was a member of V.F.W. Post 2697 in Munster and the Notre Dame 100 Club.  He retired as an electrician with Union Local 697 after 50 years of dedication. Raymond was a jack-of-all trades. He found relaxation and enjoyment feeding the birds. Raymond will be deeply missed by all who love him.
