Penny M. (Millwood) Rootes, age 67, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2025. Though it was sudden, she was surrounded by her loved ones.

Penny is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (Michael) Ralston; grandsons: Jacob Bodnar and Nicholas Bodnar; sisters: Charyl (Ron) Vlasblom and Jacqueline (Late Richard) Crooks; sister-in-law Sally Millwood; stepbrothers: Jerry (Late John), Steve; stepsisters: Debbie, Judy, Laurie, Amy; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Frank Rootes; father, Charles "Hoppy" Millwood; stepmother, Doris Millwood; mother, Dorothy (Millard) Millwood; brother, Charles William Millwood, Jr.

Penny worked in the Hospitality and Sales Industries most of her life. In her younger years she enjoyed writing poetry. She had a great sense of humor and knew how to light up the room when she walked in. Penny loved playing Bingo, Cards and Dice with her family and friends. She was well known for her baking and cooking and made famous for her Fudge, Butter Cookies, Chip Dip and Fried Chicken and Gravy (just to name a few). There wasn't a Garage Sale to be passed by without her stopping. Her greatest joy came from her daughter and grandsons; she loved spending time with them. Penny will be missed greatly by all who loved and knew her.
