Peggy Ann Mendoza, age 63, of Hammond, IN., passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2021.

Peggy is survived by her husband, Salvador Mendoza; children: Jason (Tara) Mendoza and Zack Mendoza; grandchildren: Savanah Mendoza and Jorden Mendoza; many nieces and nephews; dogs: Petey and Chloe.  Peggy was preceded in passing by her parents: Leonard and Evelyn Collins; siblings: Linda Bogdan and Danny Collins.

Peggy was a life-long resident of Hammond, where she met the love of her life, Sal.  She worked many years at Blaw-Knox and Hartsfield Village, making such a profound impact people will always remember her.  Peggy enjoyed camping with her family in Southern Indiana and thoroughly enjoyed her many trips to the Casinos.  She was an amazing cook, a country music fan and loved watching movies and crime dramas.  Peggy was an outgoing person who will be loved and missed by all.

A Memorial Service will take place on Monday, August 9, 2021 at LaHayne Funeral Home 6955 Southeastern Avenue, Hammond, IN 46324 at 5:30PM.  Friends are invited to meet with the family on Monday, August 9, 2021 from 4:00 PM until the time of service at 5:30 PM.
