Nancy Virginia Kucera (nee Narug), age 66, of Hammond, IN went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 1, 2010 with 36 loved ones by her bedside. Nancy was a devoted wife, loving mother, perfect mother-in-law, loyal sister, caring aunt and THE BEST NANA that 3 grandchildren could ask for. She will be dearly missed. Nancy always thought of other people's needs before her own. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Frank; oldest son Jeffery (Tracy) Kucera of Lake Village, IN, beloved daughter, Tracy A. (Jeffrey) Tuttle of Hammond, IN and son, Steven Kucera of Hammond, IN; 3 grandchildren, Wesley, Ariel, and Averi Kucera; 2 sisters, Sharon (Frank) Murzyn of Hammond, IN and Judy Kucera of FL; 7 brothers, John (Jo) Narug of Winfield, IN, Stanley (Susie) Narug and Richard (Sue) Narug of Calumet City, IL, Ronald Narug of Somerset, OH, Leonard (Barbara Januszewski) Narug of New Lenox, IL, Michael (Barbara) Narug of Hammond, IN and Scott (Valerie) Narug of South Holland, IL; brother-in-law, Bill Rusin of Lockport, IL; aunt, Betty (Bob) Craig of Calumet City, IL; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her 3 brothers, Joseph, Gregory, and Anthony Narug, 3 sisters-in-law, Betty (Richard) Schuit, Geraldine Joy Rusin, and Delores (John) Matyasovich, and brother-in-law, Ronald B. Kucera. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at 9:30 AM from LaHayne Funeral Home, 6955 Southeastern Ave., Hammond, IN and 10 AM Mass of Christian Burial from St. John Bosco Church, 7113 Columbia Ave., Hammond, IN with Rev. Steve Kosinski officiating. Burial will follow at St. John/St. Joseph Cemetery, Hammond, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Tuesday, October 5, 201 from 4-8 PM at the funeral home.
