Mildred L. Hall nee Adams, age 76, of Hammond, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2012 Devoted daughter of the late Johnny C. Adams and the late Ethel Mae Adams Cherished wife for 61 years to the late John Hall, JR Loving mother of Donald Hall, late William "Ron" Hall, Sandra (Roger) Koartge, Wanda Walker, and Matthew "Neal" (Susie) Hall Beloved sister of Kenneth (Alice) Adams, Linda Roach, Elsie Marcinkowski, late Bobby Wayne Adams, late Dolton Wade Adams, late Billie Marie Medley, and late Carl Edwards Adams Loving grandmother of 8 Precious great-grandmother of 15 Special "Mom" to Shiela Potter, Belinda Little-Lynn, Joyce Baily, Trisha Ann Medley, Carlotta King and many others Fond aunt to many nieces and nephews Mildred grew up in Iuka, MS where she lived until she married John. They then traveled from place to place while he was in the army, finally settling down in Indiana where they lived for 40 years. She worked at Queen Ann Candy Company and Plast Mold Products. She had a love for crafts and read her bible faithfully. She had a gentle heart and always found the good in every situation. She loved to talk and nobody was ever a stranger. She attended neighborhood meetings and worked every election. She was an avid fisherman and she would rather have a pole in her hand than be shopping. She was a member of Save Our Neighborhood (S.O.N.) crime watch. She had a green thumb which could turn a weed into a beautiful flower. She loved working in her garden and picking from her peach tree. Her family was priceless in her eyes, and she gave all her love and support no matter what came up. There will be a Memorial Service Friday, July 6, 2012 at 11 AM at The Gate, 5670 Sohl Ave., Hammond with Rev. J. Calaway, officiating. Interment was private. Funeral was entrusted to LaHAYNE FUNERAL HOME, 6955 Southeastern Ave., Hammond. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Family.
