Michael Welch, age 43, 0f Hammond, IN passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2010. He is survived by his wife, Laura A. (nee Hart); 3 children, Lindsay, Daniel and Madison; 3 half-brothers, Karlton, Kerrion and Kennard Welch; mother and father in law, Marlene and Ray Anderson, numerous aunts, uncle, cousins, other family members, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lorenzo and Loretta Harriet Welch, brother, Lorenzo Welch, and grandmother, Mamie Welch. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 7, 2010 at 5:30 PM from LaHayne Funeral Home, 6955 Southeastern Ave., Hammond, IN with Pastor Antoine Jenkins officiating. Cremation will follow. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Friday from 2-6 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be appreciated. Michael was a lifetime resident of this area.
