Michael W. Rapchak, Jr., age 60, of Hammond, IN passed away Thursday, January 7, 2010. He is survived by 2 sons, Michael (Michelle) Rapchak, III and Bob (fiancé, Tara Hessling) Rapchak; 1 step-daughter, Sarah (Josh) Newton; 9 grandchildren, Morgan, Erin, Michael IV, Madison, Roger, Riley, Zack, Joshua, Jr., and Jennifer; mother, May Rapchak; 2 brothers, Lawrence (Celeste) Rapchak and Philip Rapchak; 2 sisters, Nancy and Laura Rapchak; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Rapchak, Sr. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 11, 2010 at 4:30 PM from LaHayne Funeral Home, 6955 Southeastern Ave., Hammond, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Monday from 3 PM until time of services. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the family would be appreciated.
