Michael N. Malone, born November 1, 1980, passed away on June 8, 2026. Though his time was brief, Michael’s life was marked by kindness and a spirited engagement with the world around him.
Michael pursued his education at The Art Institute Miami Dade College, reflecting a deep appreciation for creativity and design. His professional journey included roles as a Security Guard with Allied Security at Horseshoe Casino and as a dedicated employee in the Agricultural Division of the City of Whiting, where he contributed by planting trees—evidencing a commitment to community and environment.
His personality was widely recognized for its kindness, touching the lives of those who knew him. Michael had a diverse range of interests that showcased his creativity and passion: collecting Legos, playing and creating video games, and collecting baseball cards. He cherished watching movies, particularly those from the Star Wars and Marvel franchises, and had a fondness for listening to classic rock music.
Among Michael’s proudest accomplishments was his reputation for making an exceptional macaroni and cheese, a skill that brought joy to family and friends alike.
Michael is survived by his mother, Susan Malone; sisters, Tammy Garcia and Kimberly Garcia; niece, Victoria Garcia; grandmother, Nancy Malone; numerous aunts and cousins; and his closest and dearest friends with whom he resided: Will, Johnathan, Danny and Will's mother and Michaels "second mother", Lina Aubin. He was preceded in death by his father, Jose Garcia; grandparents, Jane Garcia and Arcal Garcia, and aunt, Theresa Rodgers.
Michael N. Malone’s life, though short, was filled with warmth, creativity, and earnest dedication. He leaves behind a loving family and a legacy of kindness and passion that will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege to know him.
