Michael "Mike" C. Cerda, age 45, of Hammond, passed away suddenly Monday, February 6, 2012. Beloved son of Robert A. and Merle "Bea" Cerda nee Vicari. Loving brother of David (Chris Yourex) Cerda, Denise (John) Shumaker, and Danielle (Rick) Almanza. Fiancé of Andrea Garcia. Beloved nephew of Kathleen Koss, Manuel (Dolly) Cerda, Larry Cerda, Joseph Cerda, Sally Carrales, and Susan (Jerry) Zacharzuk. Dearest cousin of Jeffrey Koss and many more. Fond uncle to many nieces and nephews. Proud friend to many especially his dog Molly "Tubby". Mike worked for Southern Electric. He loved singing and especially loved the Beatles. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 10, 2012 at 4 PM at LaHAYNE FUNERAL HOME 6955 Southeastern Ave. Hammond with Rev. Jacek Dada, officiating. Interment Private.
