Melissa A. McGing, age 36, of Whiting, Indiana, passed away suddenly on Monday, July 06, 2020.

Melissa is survived by Zachary Gilhaus, the love of her life, her beloved son Jaxon Graciano, her loving mother Lisa McGing her devoted siblings Gregory (Kristen) McGing, Lindsey (Joey) Straub and Daniel McGing, her fond niece Kacie McGing, her special step-daughter Kelsey Gilhaus, her dearest grandson Maverick,  her cherished maternal grandfather Edward Wojcik and paternal Grandfather Patrick McGing and her numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Melissa was preceded in death by her father Kevin P. McGing. Her maternal grandmother Patricia Wojcik and paternal grandmother Mary McGing.

Melissa had an infectious laugh and was always the most beautiful girl in the room. She enjoyed dancing, sports and gardening. Melissa loved her son, Jaxon very much. He was the light of her life. She will be missed by all but is now at peace in the arms of her dad "Big Dad" in heaven.

A celebration of Melissa's life will be Tuesday, July 14, 2020 from 3:00 PM until time of service at 6:00 PM with Reverend Charles A. Mosley, Pastor officiating at LaHAYNE FUNERAL HOME, 6955 Southeastern Avenue, Hammond, Indiana 46324. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Melissa's family to be used for Jaxon's education.
