Maxine Luptak nee Coppage, age 89, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 31, 2018. Maxine loved her family and her friends. She'd wake up early to get her housework done and then look forward to relaxing on the couch talking to her sisters for hours until the phone battery went dead…then after all the daily news and old memories were talked out, she would relax and enjoy a heart-warming hallmark movie or a Chicago Cubs game. She especially loved her Christmas movies and got to enjoy Hallmark Christmas in July movies with her loving daughter Janet and many Chicago Cubs games with her son Ron before she moved on to be with God, her husband Bill, and all of her loving family and friends waiting for her in heaven. Maxine was a very loving, caring, and devoted wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma, sister, aunt and friend. She loved her family and loved life. One of her proudest moments before she left us was having a great-granddaughter have her namesake…Nina (nee-na) "Maxine" Luptak. Through her pain and suffering, just hearing Nina (nee-na) "Maxine" would make her smile. She also enjoyed the many special visits with her niece Diana and would put a big smile on her face when she walked into her room and gave her a big "Hi Di" and a wave. She always enjoyed the beautiful cards from her niece Pam and family and would read them over and over and always say "Pam sends the most beautiful cards! Don't throw them out!!" Maxine, a very, very loving and caring mom will be lovingly missed by her son Ron and his wife Mary and greatly missed by her daughter Janet and son-in-law Jay. Her very loving and caring sisters Lois, Martha, and Ruby who will carry on all the fun and happy memories they've had together. Her three grandsons: David and his wife Lexi, Jeffrey and Ashley, and Steven and his wife Melissa. Her three great-grandkids: Niko, Nadia, and Nina (nee-na) Maxine. Treat time with her three grandpets: Koko, Daisy, and Snickers. And her many nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, August 03, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Saint John Saint Joseph Cemetery, 1547 – 167th Street, Hammond, Indiana and is entrusted to LaHAYNE FUNERAL HOME, 6955 Southeastern Avenue, Hammond, Indiana.
