Mary Lou Mybeck nee Irwin, age 84, of Hammond, passed away Tuesday, October 09, 2012. Beloved Wife for 56 years to Robert "Bob" C. Mybeck. Loving Mother of Mark (Karen) Mybeck, and Marcia Mybeck. Cherished Sister of James (Jacqueline) Irwin. Fond Aunt of numerous nieces and nephews. Proud friend to her pets Brandi and Pepper. Preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Hazel Irwin. Mary Lou was a 55 year member of the Psi Iota Xi Sorority. She graduated with a BS and Masters Degree from Indiana University, and she remained a loyal devoted fan of Hoosier Basketball. Mary Lou taught Physical Education at Decatur Central and Crown Point High Schools along with various elementary schools in the School City of Hammond. She maintained lifelong relationships with childhood friends, cherished neighbors, and was a benefactor to multiple generations of neighborhood squirrels. Funeral Service Friday, October 12, 2012 at 1 PM at LaHAYNE FUNERAL HOME, 6955 Southeastern Ave., Hammond, IN with Reverend Steven Conger, Pastor officiating. Private interment will follow at a later date at Maplewood Memorial Cemetery, Crown Point, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the Family on Friday from 10 AM until time of service at 1 PM at LaHAYNE FUNERAL HOME, 6955 Southeastern Ave. Hammond.
