Marion H. Trinkle (nee Troyer) age 92, of Hammond, IN passed away Saturday, November 14, 2009. She is survived by 3 sons, Gregory (Kathleen) Trinkle of Schererville, IN, Robert (Linda) Trinkle of Hammond, IN and Jeffery (Marcia) Trinkle of Columbus, IN; 3 grandchildren, Steven (Kim) Trinkle of Schererville, IN, Jennifer (Neil) Pereira of Avon, IN and Heather Trinkle of Plymouth Meeting, PA; 5 great grandchildren, Matthew, Adam, Grace and Lily Trinkle and Justin Pereira; 1 sister, Nadine Cunico of Sturgis, MI; 1 brother-in-law, Arthur Trinkle of Pasadena, California; nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Leonard, and parents, Victor and Freida Troyer. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at 10:30 AM from LaHayne Funeral Home, 6955 Southeastern Ave., Hammond, IN with Pastor Susan Sickelka officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Schererville, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the funeral home. Marion was a lifetime resident of this area, retired from the Reading Dept. at the School City of Hammond, and was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ of Highland, IN. Marion was a World War 2 bride who got to see her husband come home. She was devoted to her family and always gave back to the community. We will all miss her positive attitude and beautiful smile.
