Marie C. Rembach, age 95, formerly of Hammond, IN passed away Thursday, August 27, 2009 in Portage, IN. She is survived by one son, James (Sharon) Rembach; 8 grandchildren, Ed Toth, Karen (Jack) Augustine, Nancy Rinehart, William Toth, John (Sherry) Rembach, Dan (Teena) Rembach, Jim (Ann) Rembach and David Rembach; 13 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren and nephew, Phil (Laverne) Fandrei. Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Rembach, Daughter, Arlene Toth and son in-law, Charles Toth. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 31, 2009 at 10:00 AM at LaHayne Funeral Home, 6955 Southeastern Avenue, Hammond, IN with Dr. Bassam Abdallah officiating. Burial will follow at Concordia Cemetery, Hammond, IN. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2009 from 2-6 PM at LaHayne Funeral Home, 6955 Southeastern Ave., Hammond, IN. Memorial donations may be given to the family. Marie was a lifetime resident of this area, was retired from Schmueser Buick where she was the Office Manager and a member of the former St. John Lutheran Church of Hammond, IN.
