Maria E. Lozano, age 63, of Hammond, IN., passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2024.

Maria is survived by her sons: Anthony (Maranda) Torres and Roberto (Fiancé, Aalissa Drummond) Lozano; grandchildren: Anthony Jr., Brendan and Castiel; father, Escoto P. Lozano; sister, Sonia (Rene) Acosta; nieces and nephews: Bianca Morales, Sergio Almanza, Alejandro Acosta and Sammy Acosta.  She was preceded in passing by her mother, Refugio; and her sister, Rebecca Almanza.

A Funeral Service will take place on Monday, December 30, 2024, at 6:00 PM at LaHayne Funeral Home located at 6955 Southeastern Avenue, Hammond, IN 46324 with Pastor Brandon Rukes officiating.  Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4:00 until time of service at 6:00 PM.

Maria enjoyed playing Pool and Darts.  She loved football and was an avid Bears fan. She was always listening to music and watching her shows Blue Bloods and Perry Mason. Maria was very strong in her faith and prayed multiple times daily. She will be greatly missed by all who love her.

Now I see, living my life so carelessly, now I'm on my knees praying for salvation from thee. Am I worthy of Saving, Crying for absolution?

A Vision is what I see, that Jesus is in front of me, he says "I love you, so come to Me and through you spread the message of Salvation, for Jesus is the answer.

With Your mercy, You give me strength. With your love I give You my Faith. With Your guidance, I'll find the way. How do explore my destiny, for you are the only way.  The light I see is not a blinding light, it's a healing, warm light. Therefore, my pain is no more.

In the Almighty name of Jesus I Praise to the Kingdom of God the Almighty.
