Lucille Panchisin nee Ferro, age 89, of Muncie and formerly of Hammond, passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 07, 2016. Loving mother of Gail (Norm) Gayda of Muncie, Indiana and Linda (Dave) Gnass of Florida. Proud grandmother of Leanne (Rich) Sinks, Lynne (Jeff) Clapman, Melanie Gnass, and Erin Gnass. Dearest great-grandmother of Dylan Sinks, Lauren Sinks, Allison Sinks, Brady Sinks, Trevor Clapman, Morgan Clapman, and Abigail Clapman. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband Andy Panchisin who was the love of her life, her infant son Keith Panchisin and her infant daughter Luanne Panchisin, her parents Vito Ferro and Rose Ferro nee Radichio, and her brothers and sister-in-laws Joseph (Grace) Ferro and Donald (Betty) Ferro, and her sisters and brothers-in-laws Annette (Sigmund) Toth and Liliane (Carl) Carlson. When Lucille wasn't raising her children, she would be helping Andy out at Pla-Time, the toy store they owned with his 3 brothers in Hammond. Lucille and Andy spent many vacations in Las Vegas and enjoyed visiting the local casinos. One of Lucille's greatest joys was her garden where people would always comment on her flowers. Her green thumb also included a bumper crop of tomatoes. Lucille was also known for her chicken and dumplings. She was loved by many and will be missed by everyone who knew her. Lying in State on Thursday, August 11, 2016 from 9:30 AM until time of Mass at 10:00 AM with Reverend Leo Gajardo officiating at Saint Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 500 Northgate Drive, Dyer, Indiana. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond, Indiana. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 820 East Charles Street, Muncie, Indiana 47303.
