Lisa M. Perez nee Bustamante, age 52, of Hammond, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, January 13, 2015.

Cherished wife for 30 years to Miguel A. Perez. Loving mother of Raul (Michelina Hill) Santos, Michelle Perez, Stephanie (Pete) Perez-Kalnynas, Enrique (Kristy Stewart) Perez, and Angela Perez. Beloved daughter of the late Manuel Bustamante and Carmen (late Michael) Spudic. Devoted sister Ross Duchene, David Bustamante, Michael Bustamante, Aaron Bustamante, Christine DeVries, Christopher Spudic, Mick Spudic, and Carmela Norton. Proud grandmother of Chase Santos, Kaiden Santos, Michael Kalnynas, Cameron Garza, JR Perez, Emily Perez, and Alexia Perez. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Dearest God-mother of 3. Loyal friend to many.

Lisa loved showing her support for her children and grandchildren. You could always find her cheering from the stands. She always was giving everyone advice and sharing "Grandma's rules". Lisa was a great cook. She would always tell everyone "It's not done until it's burnt. She was loved by many and will be missed by more.
