Obituary

Leonard G. Ferry, age 92, US Naval Veteran of World War II, of Hammond, passed away suddenly but peacefully at home on Wednesday, November 29, 2017. Loving husband for 62 years to Ellen T. Ferry nee Reimer. Fond great-uncle to Kenny (Kylie) Borman and special friend to Cindy (late Randy) Marinaro.

Preceded in death by his parents Anthony Ferry and Mary Ferry nee Reno, and his sisters Ann (late Richard) Haurly and Florence (late Tony) Banski, and his niece Janice Eardher. Leonard will be missed by his 4-legged baby Tesa. He was a huge Notre Dame fan. Leonard retired from General American and the Hammond Park Department. He was a member of the American Legion Calumet City Memorial Post 330. He enjoyed fishing at his cottage in Michigan and was an all-round handyman.
