Laura "Ashley" Stevens, age 53, of Hammond, IN passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.

Ashley is survived by her son, Michael Stevens; grandchildren: Natalie Stevens and Faith Stevens; cousins: Melissa Monestere and Jennifer Lanman; mother, Terry Schoettmer; sister, Christy Lanman.  She was preceded in passing by her father, George B. Lanman III; brother, Dusty Jones; aunts: Laura Monestere, and Betsy Lanman; grandparents, George and Martha Lanman

Ashley loved spending time with her son and grandchildren as well as her family and friends.  She was a very kind and spiritual person. She was as awnry as could be though and loved a good prank.  Ashley enjoyed playing Bingo, listening to Classic Rock and watching movies.  She loved every and all types of animals and they loved her back.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at LaHayne Funeral Home located at 6955 Southeastern Avenue, Hammond, IN 46324 with Pastor Brandon Rukes officiating.  Burial will take place after funeral at Chesterton Cemetery in Chesterton, IN.  Friends are invited to visit with the family at LaHayne Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family.
